Listening to The Antlers tonight. Curled up in bed with NPR is a nice way to end the day.

Remember optical illusions? I’m so nerdy.

I’d rock these shoes on the stairway to heaven

I’m on a shoe high lately, I found this on Refinery29. Rocker girls’ latest fashion fix is a new wireless, high-heeled shoe electric guitar. And of course, they actually play music! Clearly a questionable and highly impractical creation, it was designed Siberian-born designer Max Kibardin in collaboration with Hangar. These awesome sky-high platforms will be unveiled alongside Chicks on Speed’s collection of “Objekt Instruments.” The collection includes such items such as cigar-box synthesizers and hats with microphones and speakers. Heels that you can reach the heavens and rock out to. A bit impractical, but the design is razor sharp, oddball, and red. Do they really work? I sort of want them!

An array of competing distractions: with a riveting, militaristically choreographed, single-take video involving dominoes, paintball, and a Rube Goldberg sculptural-art installation. I nominate OK Go’s “This Too Shall Pass” for music video of the 2010. Oh yeah, and it’s got 20 million views.

Kermit, Piggy, and Cookie Monster rock out to LCD Soundsystem. Fast forward to 5:17 to see some cool light action.

So, one of my childhood dreams was to be a puppet master, to make puppets and perform to them. This is pretty close.
