new year’s resolutions
The New Year’s celebrations has come and gone, much like the snow from last year’s blizzard. I’ve finally had the moment to sit down and think about silly things like new year’s resolutions. Who keeps them? Why have them? Who wants to set themselves up for failure so early in the year? I’m just getting over 2010!
A lot has changed since then, like new gig and a new apt in Brooklyn. The wedge heel came back, which I am a huge advocate of. Watching Belle and Sebastian at the Williamsburg Waterfront. Bicycling and brunch in Prospect Park. Decorating my apt with flea finds. Late nights on Vanderbilt. Gap-gate! Inception! Black Swan was thrilling. Ok, things went well in 2010.
So instead cutting down a habit, I’ve created a list of things that will make 2011 more interesting, more unforgettable, more fun. Here goes:
1. Build a liquor cabinet and stock it with liquors, teas, and infusers. Share new concoctions with friends.
2. Waste less and bring a decor cup everywhere, every time
3. Create and organize my foto library of past travels and adventures
4. Plan my next adventure, climbing Macchu Picchu in Peru, travel to Mongolia and Tibet, visit old buddies in Japan, make new friends. More than travel, get involved, make it a movement, do more volunteering, discover something.
5. Cook more meals at home
There’s a lot for me to do, but enough things to live and feel alive again. Looking forward to 2011.
